EPIC Challenge

Get project support from pre-vetted student teams — at no cost

Submit a real-world project, and Miami Dade College takes care of the rest, from assembling a team of skilled students (from MDC, FIU, and more), to managing onboarding and payroll. Over 5–6 weeks, your internal team guides the work and engages directly with emerging talent, without the burden of hiring or administrative setup.

Employers with short-term initiatives, exploratory projects, or limited capacity to manage interns.

MDC Capstone Projects

Work with a student team over a semester to solve a scoped, faculty-supported challenge

Capstone Projects pair your company with a faculty-supervised student team for a full semester. You collaborate with Miami Dade College faculty to define a meaningful project tied to the students’ curriculum. This is a chance to shape academic experiences while receiving real deliverables.

Employer needing a deeper engagement, longer timeline, and high-quality outcomes from students in a relevant field of study.

Apple x MDC iOS Internship

App development projects guided by MDC

Through a unique partnership with Apple, MDC offers employers the opportunity to engage student developers in real-world iOS app projects. Employers propose an idea or challenge, and MDC matches students who use Swift and Apple development tools to prototype app-based solutions — with faculty support and guidance.

Break Through Tech Sprinternships

Connect with emerging tech talent through short-term internships

Sprinternships® are 3-week, paid micro-internships that offer companies a low-lift, high-impact way to engage early-career tech talent. Through a short, immersive project, students gain real-world experience while your team benefits from fresh perspectives and structured project support — with built-in guidance from Break Through Tech.

Tech employer who want to support equity in computing and connect with diverse, high-potential students early in their careers

Commitment

Extern

Access motivated student talent through short-term, virtual externships

Extern connects employers with students through structured, short-term virtual externships that tackle real business challenges. These remote projects are ideal for reaching talent nationwide while supporting students’ career exploration and skill development.

Commitment
